Pro-Business
The City of Moreno Valley is pro-business and encourages new, quality
development. The City strives to be business friendly and assists the busi-
ness community in many ways, for example:
· Business Assistance - The City sponsors workshops, provides referral serv-
ices to companies requiring business assistance, and offers valuable counsel-
ing and technical resources.
· Business Roundtable - The City hosts a monthly opportunity for the business
community to meet the mayor, city manager and key development services staff
· Development Services Center - The City provides a one-stop service counter
for most project plan reviews, permits, clearances, and approvals. All new de-
velopment projects and tenant improvements are processed easily and con-
veniently in one location.
· Employment Training Assistance - The City connects companies to the
Riverside County offices that assist with the recruitment and training of employees.
· Get ConnectED - Each year City staff personally visits major employers and
small businesses to improve City/business communications and relationships
· Ombudsman Services - The Economic Development Team assists new busi-
ness and developers by serving as a project partner during all phases of due
diligence and development, including overall ombudsman service with site
selection assistance, community information and demographics, and project
tracking during the planning/entitlement process.
· Site Selection Assistance - Customized site-selection packages, including in-
formation on property ownership, utility services, and demographics are cre-
ated for qualifying businesses to assist in the search for the right location.
