When it comes to healthcare, Moreno Valley has outstanding medical fa-
cilities to serve the needs of residents from newborn through the senior
years. The City is home to Riverside County Regional Medical Center
(RCRMC) and Moreno Valley Community Hospital (MVCH). An expanding
medical community is flourishing around the hospitals. Moreno Valley's
medical services hub includes Riverside Community College, Moreno Valley
Campus, where thousands of students train for a career in the healthcare
industry. It has the only community college-based Physician Assistant pro-
gram in the western United States
Riverside County Regional
Medical Center
One of Southern California's most prestigious hospitals, the Medical Center
is a 520,000 square-foot state-of-the-art tertiary care and level II adult and
pediatric facility, licensed for a total of 439 beds. Since 1893, Riverside
County Regional Medical Center (formerly known as Riverside General
Hospital) has served as a vital resource to the residents of Riverside County,
consistently delivering the highest standard of healthcare.
As a Level II Trauma Center for adults and pediatrics, the Medical Center re-
ceives nearly half of the county's trauma patients and provides over half of
the uninsured healthcare for the county. RCRMC also provides a variety of
specialty care with over seventy clinics to treat in-patients and out-patients.
As a teaching facility, RCRMC offers a full range of medical education,
thereby producing trained physicians, nurses and allied health professionals.
Riverside County expects its population to double in the next 20 years. In
response, RCC is investing hundreds of millions of dollars in a major 5-
year expansion plan--essentially building a new hospital adjacent to its
current site. Expanded outpatient services, new high-tech services, and
cutting-edge treatment and prevention programs are coming!
